Team Earthy Hues has been involved in designing and creating handcrafted products using the beautiful and sustainable banana fibre fabric for the past 13 years. And, what a ride it has been! Our products have found their way into your lives, and every time you return for more, it reminds us why we do what we do. We are truly grateful for that.

Every bag we create has a story. Some designs are born out of creativity and inspiration, others from necessity. Some are the result of customer feedback and others from careful trial and error. Some are created out of curiosity and others simply out of passion for the craft. Yes, each bag has its own narrative. Also, the story doesn’t stop once they are made. The way customers react become part of the story too.

From struggling to source good quality banana fibre fabric, to finding the right artisans, to figuring out how to get the creations completed on time - honestly, it hasn’t always been easy.  But every twist and turn has taught us a lesson. And those lessons too are part of our evolving story.

When Team Earthy Hues conceptualized the Yote as Tote for the Youth, it was never meant to be about the age but youthfulness of spirit. It is meant for people who live with energy, curiosity, and a spark of youthfulness, no matter their age. We wanted a bag that carried their stories.

When we sat to design a bag for everyday use, we started with a simple question. What is it that a woman really wants from the bag she carries every day? A bag light enough for a casual stroll, yet elegant enough for an evening out. A space for the little essentials — the phone, the keys, the diary, the lipstick — without the bulk of a large tote. A bag that gives freedom — a bag that could shift from shoulder to sling to hand, depending on the moment. That’s how the Shoulder Bag was born.

When we sat down to design a Sling Bag, we began with five words - light, stylish, compact, durable, handy. The end result is this bag which is light on your shoulder, stylish in design, compact yet spacious enough for your little essentials, durable in its banana fibre weave and very handy.

This story started with our customers. They told us that they didn’t always want to carry a “bag.” Sometimes, all they needed was something small — just enough to hold a phone, a little cash, the keys, and maybe one or two essentials. Something they could slip on during a morning walk, a quick errand, or a casual shopping trip. That’s how the Mobile Sling Bag was born. It is stitched for the days when you want to carry only what truly matters.
